Frequently Asked Questions

What do you guys do?
We provide financial literacy education to middle school and high school students! Our sessions are held twice a week, for eight weeks at a time, with two sessions each year. All meetings take place via Zoom. The best part? It’s completely free if you attend a certain number of meetings!

When do we meet?
Our meeting dates for the upcoming Spring 2025 session are projected to be on Wednesdays from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM EST and Thursdays from 7:30 PM – 8:30 PM EST, running from April 9th/10th – May 28th/29th.

How do our meetings work?
Each meeting includes an interactive icebreaker, a main lesson (for example, how to build an investment portfolio), and a hands-on activity or simulation at the end. Students are encouraged to participate actively and apply the concepts in their own financial projects. By the end of the session, participants will have worked on a personal finance goal or project — whether it's a mock investment portfolio or a business plan. We check in regularly to help students stay on track and meet their goals!

How can I join?
As we get closer to our next session in Spring 2025, the "Sign Up" page will be available on our website’s navigation bar in March 2025. The session itself will begin in April 2025, but we allow students to pre-register before March. To pre-register, please visit the "Contact" page and include the message, “I’d like to join WWFC.” We will add you to our mailing list and send further instructions on how to complete your registration closer to the start of the session.

How can I submit something to be featured?
As a student, you’ll automatically have the chance to submit your favorite work for our Student Spotlight section. Whether it’s a personal finance project, investment strategy, or entrepreneurial plan, we’ll highlight your best work for everyone to see!

Who runs this collective?
We do! WWFC is run by a group of passionate students and young professionals dedicated to helping the next generation gain financial literacy and confidence.
